Average Entry Price Calculator

What this tool does

When you scale into a position with several buys at different prices, your real entry is the weighted average — not the first or last price. This calculator takes up to five separate buys and gives you the average entry price, total size, and total cost, so you know exactly where breakeven sits.

How to use it

  1. Enter the price and size of each buy (leave unused rows at zero).
  2. The calculator weights each buy by its size.
  3. Read your average entry price and total position value.

Frequently asked questions

Why does size matter for the average?

A 2-lot buy at a low price pulls the average down more than a 0.1-lot buy. The average is weighted by size, not a simple mean of prices.

Does this include fees or spread?

No — it uses raw prices. Add your broker's costs on top for a true breakeven.
